Ryan Adams
3 1/2 STARS
There’s little doubt that at only 42, Ryan Adams has broader horizons than most artists twice his age. The follow-up to his 2015 version of Taylor Swift’s entire 1989 album takes all of his recent work and pools it into a fine collection of new tunes. Highlighted by the title track, “Do You Still Love Me?”, and “Anything I Say to You Now,” the recently divorced Adams never leaves any of his emotional wreckage on the table.

The Orwells
Terrible Human Beings
Pounded together like a car-crushing compactor (the longest song is a zippy 3:29), The Orwells’ simple hooks and nonsensical lyrics are music to your ear holes. Garage-y, punk-y, jangle-y tracks like “They Put A Body in the Bayou” and “Heavy Head” will help you through your most stressful day. Tribute is also paid to the band’s most obvious influence, The Pixies, via the song “Black Francis.”
